Ch Laird of Exford CD was a sable dog bred by Mrs Geddes (Exford) and whelped May 1, 1938 in England. He was owned there by Lt. Col. B. Russell. As World War II approached, Lt. Col. Russell sent Laird and three other Shelties to the United States for safety. All were registered here by Erma Slike Huhn. Laird was not as influential as his companion, Eng/Am Ch Catmore Chum, but he does have ROM descendants. He went to Laurelridge, where he sired at least 3 Champions. as well as a non-Champion daughter who appears in ROM pedigrees. He is line CHE Part III and Family 2 .
