History
Ch Syncopating Sue of Anahassitt was a 14 1/2 inch tricolor bitch, bred by Anahassitt, whelped Nov. 3, 1932. She was by Mrs. Dreer's imported Ch Dancing Master of Anahassitt (actually bred by Mrs. Baker of Houghton Hill) ex Anahassitt Atalanta ROM. Betty Whelen purchased her at the Morris and Essex show as a puppy, and called her "Jill." According to Betty's description in No Greater Love (Alpine Press) her only serious fault was a rather soft, wavy coat. She had her first litter at only about a year of age.
A few months after her litter she was hit by a car, which affected her jaw closure. This kept her out of the show ring for several years, and she did not finish her Championship until she was six years old. She produced four Champions to four different sires, one of them being Ch Merrymaker of Pocono ROM, sire of 25 Champions, a record which stood until it was broken by Ch Timberidge Temptation ROM. She is behind all of part IV of Family 2 today. She is Line CHE part III and Family 2 Part IV.
